Certificate in Yoga Teaching (Level 1 & 2)

T his Internationally recognized programme offers Teacher’s the complete knowledge of all aspects of yoga; Yama; Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana and Dhyana. Upon completion the teacher will display a level of competency, professionalism with the aim to provide the necessary knowledge to be a Health Care Provider and promote Healthy Lifestyle and Practise.

Students are encouraged to deepen their personal practices and to effectively teach yoga to persons from a vast range of skills, abilities and experiences such as participating in community work, counseling and attending satsang (non-religion spiritual activities).

The Teaching Programme set by Kevala Institute of Yoga is Non-Secretion and purely scientific in is teachings and does not in any way relate to any Race, Religion or Culture.

Pre-requisite:

Students are required to have practiced yoga for a minimum of one year. Students must be committed, willing to venture beyond their comfort zone and have a genuine desire to lead others on their path.

 

 

Level 1 (12 Months)

Upon enrolment the following schedules be complied

  1. Attend Yoga Practical classes
  2. Attend Theory classes – Anatomy & Physiology, Yoga Philosophy, History and Background
  3. Safety & first Aid Workshop
  4. Participate in Community work
  5. Study Circle: Education in Human Values
  6. Self Study (Theory 9 modules)

Level 2 (18 Months)

In order to enroll for the Certificate in Yoga Therapy student must have the completed Certificate Course in Yoga Teaching Level I. Students who have completed their Foundation course from any other recognized Yoga Institute may apply for the Yoga Therapy course.

  • Anatomy & Physiology – Skeletal, muscular & Neuro System
  • History & Background of Yoga
  • Yoga Philosophy – Moral & Ethical Values
  • Yoga Asanas- Basic Level
  • Pranayama (Yoga Breathing) – Basic Level
  • Yoga Nidra- Relaxation Technique
  • Meditation
  • Yoga Diet
  • Community Work
  • Safety & First Aid
  • How to Set Up your own Yoga Class

NOTE:
Students will be required to sit for their written monthly exam based on 9 modules self study theory notes, which will be provided upon enrolment.A final written Exam and Interview will be conducted before issuance of the Yoga Teaching Certificate.It is highly recommend that students attend specialized yoga workshops conducted at the centre. Take note that these workshops are not part of the scheduled Yoga Teacher Training course. Your exam grade will depend on the above participation.

RM7500.00 Fee for students who graduate from Kevala Academy of Yoga

RM8500.00 (For Asia) or £ 4500.00 (For Europe & USA) – Fee for other students.
